Session News in a Nutshell

Session News in a Nutshell
April 2022

Session met in a stated meeting on April 4 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.  The following business was transacted:

Received and affirmed reports on the following major items:
  • Picnic to be held after the service on May 15 (Confirmation Sunday).  This will be a church-wide event and celebration.  More details will be forthcoming soon.
  • There is a new look to the Online Giving page on the CPC website.  For more details, see last week’s Elink.
  • We are in need of a person with medical training to join the ASP trip this year if possible.  Contact Alan Bancroft if interested.

Elected elders Hal Drumheller and Ellen Govert as CPC Commissioners to attend a called meeting of Presbytery on April 26.  The meeting is for the purpose of:
  • First, a call to separate the Executive Presbyter/Stated Clerk job into two distinct positions.
  • Second, to clear the path for this separation, the Coordinating Body has made a change to the Presbytery bylaws. This change needs to be affirmed.
  • Finally, if commissioners back the first and second proposals, they may be asked to elect a temporary Stated Clerk.
