The Legacy Fund builds a strong foundation today
to help ensure a thriving ministry for CPC's future generations.
Gifts to the Legacy Fund are carefully invested and proceeds provide an ongoing and robust source of financial support for the following: capital needs, ministries of compassion, and support of the ministries of the church via the general operating budget. All done while loving God and neighbor.
Gifts to the fund generally come from endowments to CPC in personal wills and trusts, although gifts from living members and friends are also encouraged. Beyond educating the congregation about the fund, donor tax implications, and a variety of giving plans, most efforts to solicit gifts come through personal, individual contact by the pastor or approved surrogates. There is no mass solicitation effort as seen in a capital campaign. The fund is designed for members and friends to endow gifts today, perpetuating the future vitality and health of CPC and leaving a legacy for generations to come.
As soon as the Legacy Fund grows and exceeds its principal balance, the Fund will start contributing to the operating budget in the form of additional missions giving, capital improvements, and general budget support. This flexible, additional source of income outside our normal planned giving will have a measurable impact, especially as the Fund balance grows and appreciates. You are nurturing and building a foundation of a faith community who loves God and neighbor. Your generosity is extremely important and greatly appreciated.
