Find Your Place: Music & Worship

The Music & Worship Ministry Team handles the practical aspects of worship at CPC. It's a small team (currently Tom Bolick, Carolyn Clark, Jane Dunbar, Audrey Sausman, Matthew Simmons, Kathel Sugg, and Alice Williams, with Kirsten Nielsen as the elder liaison to Session and Paul Lang from the pastoral staff). They plan and review details for every service, including the special services around Advent and Easter. They meet the second Monday of each month (usually hybrid in the CPC parlor and on Zoom, at 7:00 PM).

The Music & Worship Ministry has several sub-teams:

• Tom Bolick manages Communion scheduling and setup, working with Kathel Sugg to ensure both the people and the elements are in place.
• Audrey Sausman leads the Chancel Guild, which is responsible for keeping the visual aspects like the paraments aligned to the liturgical season, among other things.
• Jane Dunbar leads the Visual Arts team, putting together the special artwork for services, sometimes with resources like A Sanctified Art. Jane also manages the Ushering team.
• Matthew Simmons and Alice Williams are our connection to the Choir, and Kirsten Nielsen is part of the Orchestra.
• The team coordinates with Henry Gibbs on the Columbarium team, as well. 
• They also coordinate lay readers through the signup on Sign-up Central.
