Middle and high school age youth Sunday school classes are discussion-based with experienced, caring leaders.

Middle and high school classes meet Sunday mornings from 9:29 to 10:20 a.m. during the traditional school year in designated youth rooms, outfitted with sofas and chairs for a more relaxed environment.

CPC youth also are encouraged to participate in a year-long Confirmation class at the conclusion of middle school that “seeks to provide youth with a foundational understanding of our faith, tradition and Presbyterian practices.”

Middle School Sunday School is for youth in grades 6-8. The class engages in interactive Bible study, with projects, discussion, games, and more using the curriculums “Co-lab-orate” and “To Know the Bible”.

Confirmation class is offered Sunday mornings from September to May to eighth graders who are interested in exploring their faith, and confirming or initiating their baptism. This is a very special time in their lives and any children of families who are CPC members or those young people seeking to join the church are encouraged to be a part of this experience. At the conclusion of confirmation, those who have completed the class and are ready to profess their faith are welcomed into church membership during as part of a special confirmation worship service on Sunday morning. Classes are team-taught using study, spiritual practices and interactive activities, and include three day-long retreats. Each confirmand has an adult mentor from the congregation who accompanies them on this journey.

Senior High Sunday School is for youth in grades 9–12. The most important feature of this class is the personal interaction and connections made between students and caring leaders. Class learning and fellowship is based on Feasting on the Word Curriculum, an ideal resource for maturing youth which is lectionary-based, providing intentional connections between education and worship, Bible and daily life.
