Presbyterian Women

Each year, during their Christmas gathering, Presbyterian Women wrap gifts for families at The Carying Place.

Presbyterian Women is a world-wide organization dedicated to nurturing members’ faith through prayer and informal Bible study, supporting the mission of the church worldwide, working for justice and peace, and promoting fellowship through the creation of an inclusive, caring community of women.

Every woman at Cary Presbyterian Church is a part of the whole body of “Presbyterian Women” within our congregation and is invited and welcomed to participate in any way in the life of Presbyterian Women at CPC. Helping each woman find her place and making sure she is connected to our larger church through circles is one of the goals of CPC Presbyterian Women.

Presbyterian Women Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves

  • to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study
  • to support the mission of the church worldwide
  • to work for justice and peace
  • and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Five “circles” of women meet monthly for fellowship, bible study, and mission outreach during the program year from September to May. Each circle chooses their study material for the year.  Most use the Horizons study guide. Please contact a member of the Coordinating Team or a circle leader for additional information.
