Medora serves in the area of faith formation and intentional Christian education for all ages. This includes special programs, nursery, confirmation, Sunday School for toddlers through adults, adult seminars, Milestones ministry, and acting as a resource for many other ministries. She currently serves on the presbytery's Christian Education Team, has been a staff member for a presbytery in the past, and has been very active in the Association of Presbyterian Educators for many years. Medora has also served on the PC(USA) Educator Certification Committee. Prior to coming to Cary, Medora was a church educator in Iowa, Delaware, New Jersey, Ontario, and Florida.
Education: Masters in Religious Education, McMaster Divinity School, Hamilton, Ontario
Family: Medora – married to Duane, a Presbyterian minister – has three adult children and five grandchildren whom she wishes lived much closer.
Hobbies, Interests, Bucket List: Medora likes to dig in the dirt, go on vacation, quilt, and read historical fiction and mysteries. She once visited Petra, Jordan, where part of "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" was filmed. Cary Presbyterian's growing mission to Guatemala is a passion, and she is studying Spanish.

Ed oversees the entire music program at Cary Presbyterian Church, ensuring a balanced and extensive music ministry to and with all ages. In addition to directing and accompanying the Chancel Choir, he organizes and coordinates the participation of all the choirs, musical groups, ensembles, as well as vocal and instrumental soloists in the Sunday morning services of worship, seasonal services, and any other special services.
Education: B.S. in Music Education, Indiana University of Pennsylvania; Master of Music Education, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; Doctoral work at Boston University. In 2002, Ed became among the first group of educators to earn National Board Certification in the area of Early Adolescence through Young Adult Music and most recently renewed certification in 2011.
Other Work: Ed is also the Choral Director and Fine Arts Chair at Cary High School. He directs all the choral ensembles, teaches music theory and AP music theory, and manages operations of the fine arts department. Ed is also an adjunct music professor for Central Carolina Community College.
Professional: Ed is currently NCMEA High School Choral Section Chair and has previously served as Choral Activities Chair, as well as Chair of the NCMEA District East #1 High School Large Ensemble Choral Festival. He holds memberships in the National Association for Music Education, North Carolina Music Educator's Association, American Choral Director's Association, and The American Guild of Organists.
Hobbies, Interests, Bucket List: In his spare time, Ed enjoys bike riding, jogging, as well as time at the beach. He hopes to one day visit Rome.
Director of Preschool

Angie works with Preschool staff to maintain strict standards, according to our state license. She connects with church board members to keep our Preschool program up to date, while staying true to the standards that have made Cary Presbyterian Preschool known for excellence for over 30 years. Angie feels that she has the world's best job: caring for the students and staff of our preschool.
Education: B.S. in Elementary Education, Appalachian State University
Hobbies, Interests, Bucket List: In her free time, Angie loves to play board games with her family, decorate cakes, and read almost any literary genre (although historical fiction is her favorite). Someday she would love to learn to quilt and knit, while sitting on a porch watching the sunset in the North Carolina mountains.

Barbara maintains the financial records for both Cary Presbyterian Church and its Preschool. Previously she has worked as an audit and tax accountant for a CPA firm in Chevy Chase, MD, and as Controller/VP of Finance for a home builder and real estate developer in Bethesda, MD.
Education: B.S. in Accounting, Virginia Tech; CPA (currently inactive license)
Family: Barbara has been married to her husband, Chip, for over 30 years and they have two college-age daughters.
Hobbies, Interests, Bucket List: Barbara enjoys reading, gardening, and sewing. Her favorite vacation destinations are anywhere out West or the beaches of South Carolina. One day she hopes to kayak with the sea otters in the kelp beds of Monterey Bay.
Church Communications and Office Manager

Phil’s communication management responsibilities involve managing communication for church services and congregational life. These include the oversight and production of published materials from bulletins to handouts, and oversight and production of CPC’s digital media and online presence including social media, email communication and electronic newsletters. Office manager responsibilities include a wide variety of duties designated to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the church office.
Education: Oral Roberts University, UNC Greensboro (English Literature)
Experience and Interests: Phil was formerly the Director of Marketing at Audio Advice in Raleigh, one of the country’s premier home technology retailers and integrators. Prior to Audio Advice, he worked as a publisher representative, bookstore manager, and for several years as a manager for Record Bar, Inc., the former Triangle based music retailer. Interests include reading and listening to music (as well as collecting books and albums). Favorite writers include C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Michael Connelly, C.J. Box, and too many others to mention. Favorite musicians include The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, Glen Campbell, The Monkees, Bob Dylan (and again, too many others to include). He also enjoys writing, and is at work on a suspense novel.

Mandy is a registered nurse who oversees the Parish Nurse Ministry. She promotes holistic health and wholeness in the congregation through one-on-one interaction, counseling, support through grief and suffering, advocacy, resources, referral, and education. Other nursing experience includes pulmonary and sleep medicine, pediatric home health, and gastroenterology.
Education: A.A.S., Applied Science in Nursing, University of Alaska, Anchorage
Hobbies, Interests, and Bucket List: Mandy loves anything creative: making jewelry, scrapbooking, canning vegetables from her garden, and cooking. Mandy's bucket list includes travel to Europe, learning to play the piano, and becoming fluent in Spanish.

Ron maintains the function and appearance of the church property. He has also served as a carpenter/contractor and construction superintendent.
Hobbies, Interests, Bucket List: Ron loves cycling and, appropriately, hopes someday to attend a mountain stage of the Tour de France.
Director of Youth and Families Ministry
Tiffany leads a comprehensive program of spiritual development for the youth of Cary Presbyterian and their families. She coordinates the Christian Adventurer, middle school and high school youth fellowship programs. Having grown up in the Presbyterian church and participating in youth groups throughout the years, she understands the importance that youth fellowship plays in a young person’s faith journey. She firmly believes that youth are not just the “future” of the church, but that they are a vital part of the church today. In the past, she volunteered as a youth leader, Vacation Bible School leader, nursery worker, and served as Treasurer of the church council (at her previous church). Before she chose to stay at home with her children, she worked for financial institutions in various marketing, communications, and event planning roles.

Family: Tiffany is married to Don and they have two young children.
Hobbies & Interests: Tiffany enjoys reading, exercising, being crafty (she has no true artistic ability), and is teaching herself to sew on her great aunt’s vintage Singer. She loves spending time with her family and hearing her children laugh.
