Confirmation Class is offered each program year from August to May during the Sunday school hour to eighth graders who are interested in exploring their faith, and confirming or initiating their baptism. This is a very special time in their lives and all eighth graders are encouraged to be a part of this experience. At the conclusion of confirmation, those who have completed the class and are ready to profess their faith are welcomed into church membership during as part of a special confirmation worship service on Sunday morning. Classes are team-taught using study, spiritual practices and interactive activities, and include three day-long retreats. Each confirmand has a mentor who accompanies them on this journey. Confirmation is offered to children of families who are CPC members or those young people seeking to join the church. Room 106

Senior High is for youth in grades 9–12. The teachers engage the students with an extended time of sharing joys and concerns (which we call ‘pows’ and ‘wows’), and then together consider the Bible passage of the day’s worship focus through Feasting on the Word, a lectionary based Bible study that unites living and faith. Good attendance here, too. It doesn’t hurt that there is lots of food! —Room 105 (SH Room)
