Since we will spend most of our lives as adults, we recognize that much of our learning about faith and life will occur after we finish high school. Many of us will further develop what we learned as children and teens, but all of us will be constantly seeking to discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ— the purpose of Adult Christian Education. At Cary Presbyterian we do this through a variety of educational experiences including several Sunday school classes, special courses offered on Sunday evenings or midweek, Disciple Bible Study (a year-long transformative Bible study program), and special learning events or series.
CPC offers several Sunday morning adult classes. Come gather with other adults for fellowship, learning and to be challenged to grow in your faith. All classes are on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am. Visitors are always welcomed! In some classes, topics and studies change approximately every six weeks; in others, an ongoing sessions are the norm. Each class has its own flavor and style!
Here’s the current line-up:
Adult Christian Education (ACE) programs are educational opportunities outside the Sunday school hour. These weeknight or Sunday evening classes consider a variety of topics and vary in length. Recent series have included science and faith, forgiveness, works of C.S. Lewis, and ideas which have shaped our postmodern world. Special studies during the church seasons of Advent (December) and Lent (springtime) are frequently offered as well. Check the current Link newsletter for details.
